Hello everyone,
so the scooter arrived in a box, it took about 1h to get out of the box and assemble (front wheel, mirrors, pedals, rear rack). It charged over night and now I just need to put enough pressure in the tires to make it ridable. The scooter is quite heavy (105 lb), however the heaviest part is the battery pack, which can be taken out very quickly and has two handles for easy carrying. Thus of you need to get the scooter up stairs it can be done rather conveniently.
If there is a good weather this week I'll show it around this Thursday evening at the ASAP lounge.
Here are some factory pictures if you are interested (mine is blue):

Well, for all those that missed the demonstration....the scooter is ubercool. It's definitely something to think about if you look into "alternative" means of transportation. _________________

I'm glad you liked it, it was quite a fun. Going home was relatively quick (25 mins, but it is still too cold in the evenings, I should have taken warmer gloves. Riding to BNL during the day was certainly much more pleasant. I think during summer it would work fine for commuting. Maybe an electric bicycle where one can efficiently pedal to reach speeds above 20 mph (and also get some workout) would be a better option (for me). Inspiration for more to come, spring is just weeks away
The presentation from today is posted as a Open Office file and a PDF. |
